Search tips

Grantway is a global search portal for funding opportunities. Simply choose the continent and country you want to search within, and we'll make sure that you see all available funding opportunities.

If you work in several countries, you can easily change your selected country by clicking on the edit icon (the pencil) above the search field.

In the search field, you can enter single or multiple keywords. If you are looking for something specific, it is a good idea to use the keywords in combination with filters.

If you do not want to see international funding opportunities in your search results, even if you are eligible to apply, tick the "Exclude international funding" box located under the search field.

Save your favourite opportunities

You can save your favourite funding opportunities by clicking on the favourite icon in the search results, or the favourite icon located at the top of the opportunity page.

You can access your list of saved opportunities by clicking on the heart icon on the purple menu. You’ll find this on the left-hand side of your screen.

Save frequently used searches

To save a search, simply click on "Save search" link above the search results, and give the search a name. Remember to click save.

You can access your list of saved searches by clicking on the bookmark icon on the purple menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

Sorting the search results

By default, the search results are sorted by closing date. This means results which close shortly will be shown first. To change how your search results are sorted, click on the drop down menu and choose from the options available.

Deadlines

There are four types of deadlines in Grantway.

One deadline: Funding opportunities that have one single closing date. On the search results page, you will see the closing date on the left-hand side.

Several deadlines: Funding opportunities that have multiple deadlines. On the search results page, you will see the closest upcoming closing date and a plus icon under this date indicating that there are several deadlines.

Rolling: Funding opportunities that do not have a closing date and you can submit your application at any time.

Awaiting new deadline: Funding opportunities that will become available but where the opening and closing date have not yet been published.
